Mike Dillard´s PPC Domination - Better than Social Marketing?

By JanJanzen

With all the focus being put on Social Marketing by network marketing gurus like Mike Dillard and Randy Gage, it almost feels funny to be talking about Pay Per Click advertising again. Blogs, Facebook, UTube and the host of other social marketing tools that have become commonplace have dominated the marketplace over the last 12 months.

Did Pay Per Click go the way of record players, rotary dial telephones and black and white TV? Is Pay Per Click the old school way to build your business online?

What is PPC or Pay Per Click Advertising? For those new to the internet, just go to www.google.com and type in a keyword like weight loss. Then notice the ads that are in the special box at the top of the first page and the ads that are running down the right-hand side of the page. Those are PPC ads. Every time someone clicks on one of those pay per click ads, Google charges the person who placed that ad a certain amount of money. It could be as little as 10 cents for words but it could be as high as $10 for high-in-demand words.

There was a time when PPC was the way to get traffic to your website. However, times changed with Web 2.0 and people liked the idea that they could socialize on the web and make money. One of the biggest drawbacks to PPC marketing is that it costs money and if you don´t know what you are doing, it can cost you an arm and a leg. So FREE marketing on Facebook, Hubpages, Ezine articles and Squidoo can seem very appealing if you are working on a tight budget.

Massive amounts of money are being made on the internet in this economy. Will you be one of those making money?
Massive amounts of money are being made on the internet in this economy. Will you be one of those making money?

However, one of the things I have done over the past year as I have got involved in social marketing is watch what my business mentors are doing. One of my mentors in the network marketing industry and internet marketing scene, Mike Dillard never stopped doing PPC despite all the social marketing fanfare. As a matter of fact, he became number two in his primary network marketing business building a downline entirely from Pay per Click campaigns in just a few short months. He is now advocating social marketing but PPC is his PRIMARY way to earn money online…big money. I´m listening.

What are the Differences?

Here´s a synopsis of what Mike is saying today.

Social marketing:

  1. Is a “wait and see” method of marketing.

  2. It can´t be easily systemized

  3. It cannot be delegated as you must be involved personally

  4. It is hard to analyze as to what is working

  5. It does not produce immediate results

  6. Is creative

PPC on the other hand:

  1. Produces instant results – good or bad so you can make changes immediately

  2. Can be systemized

  3. Can be delegated

  4. Can be duplicated

  5. Can be analyzed

  6. Is a science

  7. Has unlimited income potential

Why has Mike got me intrigued? I´ve had people do PPC for me before with disastrous results. So I´ve been down this path in my earlier internet marketing days. However, I am willing to go down it again because I was never mentored by an expert. I will be this time. I was never taught how to ride the bicycle myself so I have no idea how to win the race. With PPC Domination, I will learn the ropes, the tricks and the tools and won´t have to hope that my freelance consultants actually know what they´re doing.

Probably what intrigued me most about Mike´s videos on the launch of PPC Domination on January 19th is that I want to move my businesses from the S quadrant that Robert Kiyosaki talks about in Rich Dad Poor Dad to the B quadrant. The key to that is systems and duplication.

Time freedom to play, do more philanthrophy and travel the world. What are your goals?
Time freedom to play, do more philanthrophy and travel the world. What are your goals?

Two things can provide that key to me easily and quickly. One is network marketing. I´m involved in an amazing company but now want to build the downline fast. Two is a system that I can delegate and have my downline duplicate so I can achieve the time and financial freedom I desire.

I love hanging out for a few minutes a day on Facebook. I love to write so doing a Hubpage or an Ezine article is fun. However, when it comes to putting money in my pocket and lots of it, I know that network marketing is the answer for me. The next piece in the puzzle is how to build that network marketing business quickly. Social marketing will without a doubt over time do that for me…to an extent.

However, Mike Dillard says that PPC is the first skill that an internet marketer should learn. It´s how he has builds his online businesses including his network marketing business.

Is there a learning curve? Of course there will be. There´s a learning curve with anything on the internet. That´s a natural and normal part of being an entrepreneur. If you´re tired of learning, then entrepreneurship isn´t for you. But if learning something that can provide good quality leads for your network marketing business and enable you to monetize along the way appeals to you, then perhaps PPC is for you.

Are you making the most of your internet marketing time?
Are you making the most of your internet marketing time?

I love the creativity of my blog, my Squidoos and my social marketing. It´s like making a beautiful dinner for company on Saturday night. However, come Monday morning, I need to make money. The bills don´t wait until I´ve got a thousand friends on Facebook. The bank doesn´t care that my Hubpages look pretty. And yes I believe that in time, I will make money with all of my social marketing but in my opinion fast is good. Enough money in the bank is what buys me time freedom…my number one goal.

Am I 110% convinced? Let´s say that I´m convinced enough to try it. I´ll be the creative chef with Social Marketing and continue to work on building my web. But in the meantime, my serious financial goals will be realized through network marketing and smart, savvy internet marketing. I´m willing to put my money on the line on January 19th that PPC Domination is exactly what I need.

Good info. :) . one thing though. Social Marketing is yes wait and see..... for the most part its also FREE. I have not purchase PPC Dom yet, but lets see here. You have to pay for Dillard's product + pay for all your PPC's.

Dillard does put out great products, I have bought several of his myself... but for someone who doesnt have money to spend like that may want to stick with social marketing until he/she starts to earn a regular stream of cash. If you are already estiblished your business then this is great for you.... but if you are new to the game don't spend all your money just yet.

Thanks for your comment and I agree with you that social marketing is free while PPC domination is not. However, I also believe that more entrepreneurs need to understand that building a business costs money. We wouldn´t expect to build a house for free or travel the world for free. We also need to be realistic in the commitment we make to our business financially! I also have seen that the faster people make money, the more likely they are to stick with it and not give up which is usually a good thing!

Love your feedback and thank you so much for sharing!
